This year’s theme is “Creating High Performance Culture Through Operational Excellence”.  We know it is important for us, as a nation to not only progress in our endeavour to be developed nation by year 2020, but in the meantime we need to measure our capability and performance so far.

Six Sigma is unique in the sense that it focuses on customer needs, methodological and disciplined use of data, facts and statistical analysis and enabling business processes to be innovated and improved.

As with any new programs to be implemented in any organizations, some level of resistance would be inherent.  The Six Sigma Awareness Program is a course designed to help reduce the initial resistance to impending changes. At the end of this program, the participants will be better informed and be enlightened of Six Sigma. Questions will be answered and understanding of benefits of Six Sigma will be gained. A common language will also be established and hence encouraging enthusiasm and support. In all, this step is crucial in order to ensure the success of Six Sigma culture implementation.
