1) Jamilah Haron

Jamilah is a GE-certified Black Belt. She specializes in company-wide business process improvements and operations cost reduction drive by utilizing Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies. Her nineteen years experiences of Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma were derived from 3 top-notched multinationals – Sony, GE and Johnson Controls. Her expertise includes the improvement of business’s operational cost through Benchmarking, Best Business Practice and rigorous Profit and Loss gap analysis. In leading Lean Six Sigma initiatives in banking, she holds the responsibility to re-ignite Lean Six Sigma deployment. This was done by redirecting Lean Six Sigma’s deployment from a “just another chore” to making Lean Six Sigma a strategic initiative with solid associations to departmental costs reduction and incremental revenue contribution. She strongly believes in establishing the links between Lean Six Sigma certification to annual appraisal and establishment of financial benefits requirements per Green Belt and Black Belt.

2) Abdul Ghani Bin Mohd. Hashim

Abdul Ghani led and implement projects and provide technical training and consultation in the area of TQM, ICC, Lean Six Sigma, Strategic and Performance Management System, Risk Management, Process Management, and Standard-based Management System (ISO 9000, TS 16949, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000).

His expertise was showcased when he first became the trainer for APEC International Quality Assurance Systems (APEC-IQAS) Project.

He also led experts in designing the Module on Overcoming Obstacles for the APEC Workshop on Standard Based Management (ISO 9000 and 14000) Project Coordinator.  More impressively he is the Trainer for Quality Improvement Program Main where his job is to provide extension and consultancy services in quality and productivity improvement.  The main objective for this initiative is to upgrade technological and human resource capability of local industries towards achieving a competitive advantage in domestic and international market.

3) Mohamad Hisham Hamdan

Master Black Belt, Lean Apllied Sdn.Bhd

For more than ten years, hundreds has received training from Mohamad Hisham in different settings. As a leader, a mentor, and a trainer, Hisham strives to ensure the success of his supervised apprentices. His commitment to execution is evident in his unending continuous effort in reinventing personal skills used in diverse industries; which includes electronics, semi-conductor, transactional, manufacturing, oil and gas, engineering, and consultancy. Hisham is a graduate of Kyoto Institute of Technology, with Bachelor of Information Electronics Engineering and high distinctions in his early education.

Some of the companies he had serviced prior to Lean Applied are Toshiba and Petronas where he planned, designed, executed, and organized multi successful projects which led to his teams to million dollars savings at the organization. Hisham projects ranges from 6 Sigma DMAIC, VACD (Value Added Cost Down) activities, to reduction maintenance cost. His analytical talent has won the management trust to spearhead nine major projects which was completed in record time. Subsequently, Hisham was responsible in implementing Six Sigma.

4) Azryain Borhan

Corporate Development And Policy Division, Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM)

Azryain Borhan is the Director of Corporate Development and Policy Division, Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) since joining SSM in April 2007. His portfolio include law reform, policy, domestic and international networking, economic research, statistics, accounting development, periodical reporting, corporate responsibility, project management and monitoring as well as strategic planning.

Prior to joining SSM, Azryain was the Assistant Vice President, Legal and Secretarial, Khazanah Nasional Bhd between May 2006 and April 2007. In Khazanah, he advised on various corporate joint ventures, restructurings, investments as well as internal operations.  Between August 2000 and December 2004, Azryain served the Securities Commission (SC) as a Senior Prosecuting Officer in the Enforcement Division and later as a Senior Associate in the Securities Issues Division. His portfolio in SC include assessing investigation papers, prosecuting securities offences, rendering legal advice as well as overseeing listing and corporate restructuring exercises. Azryain had also served as a legal advisor to a corporate figure between 2004 and 2006, serving in the capacity of a Legal Manager in Borcos Shipping Sdn. Bhd. He was also seconded to Biotech Medical Corporation Sdn Bhd as a Deputy General Manager (Legal). He was exposed to various corporate exercises in the areas of shipping, oil and gas, biomedical and logistics. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the International Islamic University Malaysia in 1998.  Azryain was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in July 1999 upon completion of his pupilage with Messrs. Shearn Delamore & Co. He briefly practiced with Messrs. Khaw & Partners and Messrs. Zul Rafique & Partners in the areas of corporate advisory and general litigation respectively.

5) Mr.Larry Smith

(US based) Sr. Consultant

Larry R. Smith was the quality coach of the Ford Motor Company’s Heritage team, a team charged with revitalizing the Ford Rouge manufacturing complex.  Larry’s career emphasis has been in quality engineering and product development.  He was instrumental in initiating a six sigma effort at Ford Motor Company and acted as deployment champion for the Superduty Truck Platform, whose six sigma projects saved $49 million in the first year of operation.  He was also champion of a volunteer Ford Environmental Idea Process Team, focused on developing ideas related to design and manufacture of vehicles whose use improves conditions for human beings and the environment.  Larry has held a variety of quality management positions in his 27 years at Ford, primarily in Vehicle Operations, North American Truck, Powertrain Operations, and Casting Operations.

Since Ford, Larry has consulted and conducted training on quality and innovation methods with his own company, The Quality Smith, and for GOAL/QPC and the Juran Institute.  He has worked with corporations such as Abbott, Delphi, Unilever, Raytheon, Apple, Bosch, organizations such as the American Society for Quality and the European Organization for Quality, and consulting firms in China, India, and Malaysia.

A fellow of the American Society for Quality and elected national director from 2004-2006, Smith is the current president of the Altshuller Institute for TRIZ Studies and has been involved in numerous applications of TRIZ since 1993.  A member of the Board of Directors of GOAL/QPC from 1994 to 2007, Larry is a past president of the Detroit Chapter of ASM International.
