Course Description

Protecting our customers from repeating failure by eliminating the cause of non conformance is a must and given. Analyzing, therefore, is one of the critical key elements of our everyday working life. What action to be taken, to prevent recurrence or the real root cause from ever happening again, would be much influenced by how well the analysis portion has been carried out by us.

Using 8D as a structured approach to solving problems allowed participants to learn this approach systematically, discipline by discipline. The multiple selective of tools are categorized by each discipline to help arm the participants for the real world situation. 8D approach would also allow proper documentation of the problem solving process for future guidance & reference. A Graphical & Statistical software (Minitab or SigmaXL) will be taught too to help participants with decision making.

It is a 2-day classroom with a 1-day work-out and followed by 4-day of coaching. This setup provides not only the exposure and knowledge of the tools, but also require immediate skills development using real case study with the facilitator and with a follow-up coaching to fastrack participants’ mastery of tools. Only then the participant will make a connection between tools and problem solving.
