Course Content

The Champion or Sponsor is the person(s) who is accountable for and authorizes Six Sigma project(s). Champion act as the “Vision Communicator” manages Six Sigma deployment at the "actionable level". They are responsible for selecting Six Sigma projects that have clear views to the organization's objectives. Their involvement in project team chartering, reviews progress, help remove Organizational Barriers to project success, are crucial in deploying Six Sigma successfully. Other responsibilities include ensuring that improvements are implemented and that controls are in place to sustain the gains.

In macro, Champion(s) should drive to help the Six Sigma implementation and deployment succeed.

This is a foundation course of a Six Sigma deployment. The object is to train the Champion(s) in selection and support of a Black Belt candidate and project. "Hands on" training in several of the Six Sigma tools is provided during this course.

Duration

The course consists of 3 days of training.

 

Course Plan

Participants will be able to develop into Lean Six Sigma Champions with a thorough understanding of the following:

• Clear understanding of Lean Six Sigma
• Gain an understanding of champion's roles and responsibilities
• Understand the crucial role to the success of Lean Six Sigma project execution, and long term culture change
• How to select and support a Lean Six Sigma project
• Optional – Gain intermediate knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma Tools
