You must have five years of on-the-job experience in one or more areas of the Certified Biomedical Auditor Body of Knowledge.  At least one year must be in a decision-making role.

If you have a degree from a college, university, or technical school with accreditation accepted by ASQ, you may waive some of the required experience.

Calibration Technician

You must have five years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Calibration Technician Body of Knowledge.

If you have a degree from a college, university or technical school with accreditation accepted by ASQ, you may waive some of the required experience.

HACCP Auditor

You must have five years of on-the-job experience in one or more areas of the Certified HACCP Auditor Body of Knowledge.  At least one year must be in a decision-making role.

If you have a degree from a college, university, or technical school with accreditation accepted by ASQ, you may waive some of the required experience.

Manager of Quality/
Organizational Excellence

You must have at least 10 years of higher education and/or work experience in one or more of the areas of the Manager Body of Knowledge, including a minimum of five years in a decision-making position. If you have a degree, diploma or certificate program beyond high school, you may waive some of the required experience.

Master Black Belt

To become certified as an ASQ MBB, a candidate must successfully meet all requirements. To be eligible to apply for the MBB examination, a candidate must hold a current ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)*. In addition, a candidate must have either of the following experience levels.
1) At least 5 years of experience in the role of a SSBB or MBB.
    OR
2) Completion of 10 Six Sigma Black Belt projects.

Candidates must be able to meet these minimum eligibility requirements in order to have their portfolio reviewed.
*For those applicants whose ASQ CSSBB certificate has expired, ASQ will waive the requirement of holding a “current” ASQ CSSBB through December 31, 2011. After that date, all applicants will be required to hold a current CSSBB.
Once a candidate has met the eligibility requirements, the next step in the process is a portfolio review of the candidate’s body of SSBB or MBB work. When the review panel approves a candidate’s portfolio, the candidate will be eligible to register for and take the MBB examination. Only after successfully completing all requirements & passing the examination, will candidates receive MBB certification. There is no education waiver.

Pharmaceutical GMP Professional

You must have five years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional Body of Knowledge.  A minimum of three years of this experience must be in a decision-making position. There is no education waiver.

Quality Auditor
Quality Engineer
Reliability Engineer
Software Quality Engineer

You must have at least eight years of higher education and/or work experience in one or more of the areas of the exam Body of Knowledge, including a minimum of three years in a decision-making position. If you have a degree, diploma or certificate program beyond high school, you may waive some of the required experience.

Quality Improvement Associate

You must have two years of work history to sit for the exam. If you have an Associate/Bachelor's/Master's/Doctoral degree, you may waive the work experience requirement.

Quality Inspector

You must have two years of work history in the Certified Quality Inspector Body of Knowledge and a high school diploma or GED. If you do not have a high school diploma or GED, you must have five years work history in the Certified Quality Inspector Body of Knowledge.

Quality Process Analyst

You must have two years of work history to sit for the exam. If you have an Associate/Bachelor's/Master's/Doctoral degree, you may waive some of the required experience.

Quality Technician

You must have at least four years of higher education and/or work experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Quality Technician Body of Knowledge. If you have a degree, diploma or certificate program beyond high school, you may waive some of the required experience.

Six Sigma Black Belt

You must have two completed work projects with signed affidavits or one project with signed affidavit and three years of work experience as it pertains to the Body of Knowledge. There is no education waiver. You do NOT need to be a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

Six Sigma Green Belt

The Six Sigma Green Belt requires three years of work experience within the Body of Knowledge. This certification is NOT a requirement for Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
